Teignmouth-based photographer, John Baker, had the difficult task of judging a total of 74 digital images for Dawlish & Teignmouth Camera Club’s 4th Open Competition.
John, who is a member of Exeter Camera Club has over 40 years’ experience of weddings, events and commercial photography and his work has appeared in regional and national publications.
Members had submitted a wide variety of images from animal and people portraits to candid street scenes and creative composites, but John rose to the task and provided useful feedback in his critique for every photo.
Top prize of the night went to David Snow for his endearing image of Mr Bitey, who looks the picture of innocence, but the title would suggest otherwise!
A total of 21 prizes were awarded as follows:
Gold – David Snow
Silver – Leslie Cooper
Bronze – Paul Hepple
Highly Commended – David Snow x 2, Colin Winstanley, Dave Hutton, Bobbie Smith x 2, Kevin McDonagh x 2, Ken Holland, Denise Searle, Marc Dunlop, Alex Rosen x 2, Andrew Thompson, Bob Kent, Phil Warriner, Bob Normand and Paul Hepple.
The Camera Club meets on Wednesday evenings at Holcombe Village Hall and new members are always welcome www.dawlishteignmouthcameraclub.co.uk
