The eagerly-awaited Image of the Year competition for Dawlish & Teignmouth Camera Club was ably judged by Kay Wilson – an Australian by birth, but now living in Saltash.
Kay had the difficult task of reviewing both printed photos and projected digital images covering a diverse range of subject matter, from wildlife close-ups to stunning landscapes and from well-timed street photography to creative surreal images. She proved her mettle as a judge by being able to provide thoughtful feedback on each image and also gave many helpful comments for improvements.
There was particular delight when two of the Club members achieved their first Gold awards; Denise Searle’s tranquil image of boats in Halon Bay and Barbara’s playful colour-popping image of the umbrella installation in Exeter.
